Vietnam now turns into a peak season of inbound tourists from the beginning of October. The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has approved an extensive winter flight schedule for 2024, with over 4,600 weekly roundtrip flights. This increase in air travel is expected to significantly boost both domestic and international tourism to Vietnam.

Vietnamese airlines are planning to increase flight frequency on popular domestic routes during peak travel periods like the year-end, Lunar New Year (Tet) and spring season. For example, Vietjet Air is launching new domestic routes to connect popular tourist destinations like Da Nang and Da Lat, as well as Da Nang and Phu Quoc, and Can Tho and Da Lat. To celebrate, they're offering promotional fares as low as 0 VND, available for booking daily between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.

Besides, Vietnam has recently expanded international flight network, here’s a brief overview of new routes:
1. VJ1972: Da Nang - Ahmedabad

  • Da Nang: A coastal city in central Vietnam, known for its beautiful beaches, historic sites, and burgeoning tech industry.

  • Ahmedabad: A bustling metropolis in western India, often referred to as the "Manchester of the East" due to its textile industry. It's a cultural hub with a rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant arts scene.

The recent launch of direct flights between Da Nang and Ahmedabad marks a significant milestone in enhancing connectivity between India and Vietnam. This new route has opened up a world of possibilities for Indian travellers seeking a unique and unforgettable experience in the top worth-living cities.

20 years ago, Vietnam Airlines opened the very first flight route from Vietnam to Frankfurt, and reached more than 3,1 million guests in 14,000 flights. "This new flight route will open up new travel opportunities for Vietnamese to Europe, while also providing easier access to Vietnam for German tourists and investors, especially from Bavaria. Vietnam Airlines' extensive network allows for convenient connections to other Southeast Asian countries," said the Vietnam Airlines executive.

3. VN923 Hanoi - Phnom Penh
Vietnam Airlines has recently launched a new direct route connecting Hanoi and Phnom Penh, further strengthening the bond between these two vibrant Southeast Asian capitals.
Phnom Penh: The capital of Cambodia, is a city of contrasts, blending ancient traditions with modern influences. The iconic Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, with their intricate architecture and stunning artwork, are testaments to Cambodia's rich cultural heritage. The bustling Central Market, a vibrant hub of activity, offers a glimpse into the daily lives of the locals. For a more serene experience, visitors can explore the serene Wat Phnom, a hilltop temple offering panoramic views of the city.
