Forces Arrive in South Vietnam Ahead of Liberation Day Parade
April 5, 2025The first train carrying the military parade and procession forces of the Ministry of National Defense arrived at Biên Hòa Railway Station in Đồng Nai Province. This marks a significant step in the preparations for the grand celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification on April 30, 2025.
A total of nearly 3,200 military personnel, including soldiers and members of the militia and self-defense forces from the North and Central regions, are traveling south in five military trains. The remaining trains are expected to arrive by April 6. Upon arrival, the forces will be stationed at various military bases under Military Region 7 and Corps 4 to begin intensive training and rehearsals.
This year's grand parade, scheduled to take place on the morning of April 30 in front of the Reunification Hall (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), is a historic and symbolic event, commemorating five decades since the end of the Vietnam War and the reunification of the country. The event is expected to feature approximately 13,000 participants, including military units, police forces, youth organizations, and representatives from various sectors.
Among the troops arriving in Biên Hòa are many young soldiers, including female officers, who expressed their pride and excitement. Their radiant smiles and confident demeanor reflected the honor of being selected to represent their units in this once-in-a-generation event. “This is not only a duty, but a privilege,” said one female officer. “We are proud to march under the national flag in a moment that unites the past, present, and future of our country.”
The parade is set to be a massive visual and emotional tribute to the country's revolutionary journey, the heroic sacrifices of generations past, and the vibrant progress of modern Vietnam.
