Vietnam is perceived as a safe destination largely due to its low crime rate, which is lower than that of most other Southeast Asian countries. The 2023 Global Peace Index ranked Vietnam 41st out of 163 countries and territories in terms of peace and safety. Vietnam's commitment to safety, combined with the naturally warm and friendly disposition of its people, makes tourists feel comfortable and welcome.
