Itinerary in details:

Day 1: Siem Reap – Arrive, CAMBODIA (Meal: Dinner)

Arrive Siem Reap, Siem Reap – Treasures of the Kingdom of Cambodia, special welcome all warmly to everybody, a moment of courtesy meeting then self-introduce with our Cambodian tour guide in the meeting point's Siem Reap.

After meeting our guide, we continue to visit the West Baray Big Pond, a “baray” is a water reservoir built by the ancient Khmer people. We will visit Puok, the real and original place of the Artisans d’Angkor silk, where you will see the full process of silk producing, from the silk worms munch on the Mulberry leaves to spin their cocoons which used to make silk warp. You of course will see the weaving work and purchase the high quality silk products as a beautiful Cambodia souvenir. We visit Wat Thmei (Killing Field) contains a unique glass-walled stupa containing the bones of victims of the Khmer Rouge. Some of the bones were recovered from a nearby well while others are the remains of soldiers who died on a nearby battlefield.

Dinner with Apsara Dance show at local restaurant.

For those travelers thirsting for cultural highlights of Cambodia, No visit to Cambodia is complete without attending at least one traditional Khmer dance performance, often referred to as 'Apsara Dance' after one of the most popular Classical dance pieces. Traditional Khmer dance better described as 'dance-drama' in that the dances are not merely dance but also meant to convey a story or message.

Day 2: Banteay Srei & Small Circuit (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

We head further out through rural countryside to the small but beautiful temple of Banteay Srei. This temple is largely built of pink sandstone, a harder rock that can be more elaborately carved and better survives the rigors of time. This is an opportunity to capture some good photographs of the clear and detailed carvings. Stop at a local village to visit families who are producing palm sugar. Continue to Banteay Samre: Its rose-colored sandstone walls are decorated with carvings and bas-reliefs, which are among the most accomplished Angkor has to offer.
We continue to visit Ta Prohm "Tomb Raider" fame. Ta Prohm has been abandoned to the elements, a reminder that while empires rise and fall, the riotous power of nature marches on, oblivious to the dramas of human history. Left as it was ‘discovered’ by French explorer Henri Mouhout in 1860, the tentacle-like tree roots here are slowly strangling the surviving stones, man first conquering nature to create, nature later conquering man to destroy. Ta Keo: built by Jayavarman V who ruled from 968 to 1001, it was the first Angkorian monument built entirely of sandstone and was dedicated to Shiva. The summit of the central tower is 50 meters high and is surrounded by four lower towers. Thommanon: temple which mirrors Chau Say Tevoda (just to the north), as it was built around the same time and has a similar plan. It is also dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu. Chau Say Tevoda: built during the second quarter of the 12th century opposite of Thommanon, it was dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu.

Day 3: Angkor Thom & Angkor Wat (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After breakfast, we continue to visit:
Ø  The ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century)
Ø  See the South Gate, Bayon Temple – unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara
Ø  Baphuon temple lying just to the north of Bayon a pyramidal representation of mythical Mont Meru
Ø  We step to see our old palace as Phimeankas temple in huge complex that was used for our king in the past time.
Ø  Then Elephant terrace is platform for king and officer viewed show and people meeting.
Ø  Preah Palilay was is older than Angkor Thom was nearby, deeply in forest and on path back You see monk sprinkle water to people.
We continue to the famous temple: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology.
Enjoy walking at busy pub street where you can find many bars for cool drink or shopping at Angkor Night Market.

Day 4: Koh Ker & Beng Mealea Tour (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
This morning, we drive 120km northeast of the Angkor complex to discover the capital of King Jayavarman IV at Koh Ker temple. The architecture here is impressive in its scale and conveys a sense of power and grandeur, not usually associated with Khmer art. A picnic lunch will be arranged on site. In the afternoon we return to Siem Reap, stopping en route at Beng Mealea, a unique 11th century temple, almost rivaling Angkor Wat in terms of its size. The main temple sits on 108 hectares and is surrounded by a 45 meter-wide moat. Although it dates from the same period as the Angkor temples, the artwork and friezes are different in style and tone from the sculptures at Angkor. Much of the temple is enveloped by jungle, adding to the sense of discovery and mystery.
Day 5: Siem Reap – Departure (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch)
Breakfast at the hotel. We will transfer to Tonle Sap Lake for taking boat trip to visit at Kampong Phluk, where we will have the opportunity to learn about life on the lake. On the way, we will pass floating houses and impressive flooded forests, portraying life on the water. Return back in town, we will go to visit Artisans d’Angkor. In there, we can take a tour through the workshops and watch students as they learn how to create silk fabrics and garments, stone and wood carving, lacquer ware, polychrome products, silver plating and silk paintings.
Transfer to Siem Reap airport for departure to next destination. It’s time to say goodbye, we thank you for traveling with us and warmly welcome you to come again.

The winter months (October-February), are the best time to travel to Cambodia as the air is cool and the skies clear. However, the dust at this time of year can be irritating and the crowds at the Angkor temples at their highest numbers.

March to May sees hotter temperatures and dry skies, and the heat continues into June and through August when the monsoon season starts.

The rains however do not usually cause a major problem for travelers as they tend to be short and hard afternoon showers.
