THAY PAGODA AND CRAFT’S VILLAGES (HNRT-EX 6)

The Thay Pagoda is a wonderful complex built on the beautiful karst mountains and built in the 11th century during the reign of Ly Nhan Tong King. In this tour, you will know more about this religious heritage of the vietnamese culture. You will discover villages located in the Red River Delta as well.

ITINERARY IN BRIEF
HANOI–DUONG LAM–THAY PAGODA–HANOI          (L)

In the morning, depart by road to Son Dong village, famous for its wooden sculptures and furniture.
After the visit, head to the Thay Pagoda, a Buddhist complex situated on the beautiful karst mountains and built in the 11th century during the reign of Ly Nhan Tong King.
From there, depart to the ancient village of Duong Lam. Upon arrival, discover the Mong Phu hamlet (with a possibility for a bicycle ride) and its ancient houses made of laterite and mud. Most of the village architecture remains at its original state such as the village gate, the communal well and the temple courtyard. It is great to take a walk through the peaceful surroundings and get a chance to meet local people.
In the afternoon, depart to the Van Phuc Village, specialized in the production of naturel silk.
Return back to Hanoi at the end of the afternoon.

End of our services.

WHEN TO GO?

Vietnam's weather varies greatly from north to south with each area marked by slightly different seasons and climates. Because of these regional variations, there are always pleasant and favorable areas to visit throughout the year. The north, overall, tends to be cooler than the rest of the country. During the winter from November till February, the day time temperature is cool and the weather often damp. Central Vietnam experiences warm weather from July to October and wet, colder weather from November to May. Although the temperature remains fairly steady throughout the year, Southern Vietnam has two seasons. The dry season lasts from December to May, while from June to November is the rainy season
