Itinerary: Ha Noi – Ha Long Bay – Hue – Hoi An – Qui Nhon – Nha Trang – Da Lat – Phan Thiet – Ho Chi Minh
 
ITINERARY
DAY 1 HA NOI – ARRIVAL (-)
Upon arrival, welcome by the local guide at Hanoi airport, transfer and check-in at the hotel.
Note: Rooms are available from 2pm.
In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university. Built in 1070, it is one of the several temples in Vietnam which are dedicated to Confucius, sage and scholars.
Then, enjoy an orientation tour of the city including Hoan Kiem Lake, meaning the “Restored Sword”, is one of the scenic spots in the city; Ngoc Son Temple, built in the 19th century and beautifully situated on a little island in the northern part of Hoan Kiem Lake, and the Ha Noi Old Quarter including the famous silk street.

DAY 2 HA NOI – HA LONG BAY (JOINT CRUISE) (B/L/D)
After breakfast, travel by road to the majestic Ha Long Bay, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Arrive in Ha Long Bay and boarding on a junk for a memorable cruise through the mystical Ha Long Bay. In the afternoon, navigation between the karts, some of which display extraordinary shapes, if time and weather allow, stop for a swim in the jade-colored waters of the Gulf of Tonkin.
Dinner and overnight on the junk.

- The itinerary of cruise shall be changed without prior notice by weather & local authority.
- Tour guide is not authorized accompanying with passengers on board the junk. During the cruising, assistance of local guide on board is at available.
- Itinerary of different cruise would be slightly changed.

DAY 3 HA LONG – HA NOI (BRUNCH)
After the breakfast, junk resumes its course. During the morning, it crosses the bay and stop to visit a natural cave.
Brunch will be served on board before returning on the coast around 11h00 and transfer by road to Hanoi. On the way, stop at Yen Duc village for a bucolic walk in a farm before tasting local products. Visit Canh Huong pagoda then resume the drive towards the capital.
 
The day ends by a water puppet show, featuring sketches about the daily life and beliefs of the rural people.

DAY 4 HA NOI  HUE (B/L)
After breakfast, transfer to Ha Noi airport for the morning flight to Hue.
Upon arrival, welcome by the local guide, transfer and check-in at hotel.

In the afternoon, explore Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam under the Nguyen Dynasty, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Discover the Imperial City, the former imperial seat of government. This is a great sprawling complex of temples, pavilions, moats, walls, gates, shops, museums and galleries, featuring art and costumes from various periods of Vietnamese history.
Then visit the Celestial Lady pagoda, one of the most venerated sites in the city of Hue.

DAY 5 HUE – DA NANG – HOI AN (B/L)
After breakfast, visit the mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang and the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, the 4th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty of Vietnam, who reigned from 1847–1883. The buildings and gardens have been shaped according to the directives of geomancy (Feng Shui). Together, they form a huge park where the beauty nature is everywhere.
Last stop at villages to see how conical hats and incense sticks are made.
 
Lunch at local restaurant and depart to Da Nang via the Hai Van Pass. On arrival, visit the Cham Archaeological Museum with an extremely rich collection, tracing the history of this lost civilization.
Then, resume the journey to the port town of Hoi An, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Check-in at hotel upon arrival.

DAY 6 HOI AN (B/L)
After breakfast, pick up from the hotel to visit the famous Ancient Town of Hoi An. This is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Walk around Hoi An ancient town and explore its treasures. The buildings and street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site.
Then, visit a lantern making cottage and learn how to make one.
 
In the afternoon, enjoy an excursion by boat on the Thu Bon River with a stop, along the way, at a traditional ceramic and carpentry village.
The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the old city or the beach (if weather permits).

DAY 7 HOI AN – QUI NHON (B/L)
After an early breakfast, drive to Qui Nhon (330 Km), with its origin stretching back to the 11th century, when it was founded by the Cham people of ancient Vietnam.  It is one of Vietnam’s most active seaports.
On the way, stop at Tam Ky to visit Chien Dan Tower, a group of three towers built in the 11th century and dedicated to three deities of the Champa Kingdom: Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma.

Nearby the Qui Nhon city, visit Banh It Silver Towers and enjoy the panoramic view of the countryside. Arrive in Qui Nhon, check-in at the hotel before discovering the city and Thap Doe Towers.

DAY 8 QUI NHON – NHA TRANG (B/L)
After breakfast, drive to Nha Trang (230 km), a charming seaside town on the coast of the South China Sea. Along the way, stop at the beautiful Dai Lanh Beach where one can watch the fishing boats in the bay.
On arrival, check-in at the hotel and lunch at local restaurant. Then, explore the city of Nha Trang and visit the Po Nagar Cham Temple Tower, founded sometime before 871 and dedicated to Yan Po Nagar, rocks lying on top of one another and Dam Market, built around 1908, this market was called “Dam” because the goddess of the country; Hon Chong Rocks which consists of massive e it used to be a 7-hectare pond.

DAY 9 NHA TRANG (B)
Breakfast at hotel.

DAY 10 NHA TRANG – DA LAT (B/L)
After breakfast, depart by the new road to the cool hill station of Da Lat (160 Km). Upon arrival, discover the Tuyen Lam Lake, it offers fresh air, tranquil atmosphere and diversified natural landscapes; and Truc Lam Pagoda located on-island biggest pagoda designed with the architecture from the north and has become one of the cultural and spiritual centers.
 
Lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the Lat Minority Village, a chance to observe the customs and traditions of the Lat minority people and see their handicrafts. The day ends with the visit of the XQ Folk Village and a cup of traditional tea.

DAY 11 DALAT – PHAN THIET (B/L)
After breakfast, stroll through the colorful market of Dalat renowned for its fresh vegetable and flowers.
Then, depart on board of an old diesel train to Trai Mat Village. Visit the Linh Phuoc Pagoda, built by some monks, nuns and Buddhist from Thua Thien – Hue in 1949 with unique architecture, and the villa of the last Emperor Bao Dai, he was the 13th and last emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty of Vietnam. 
Lunch at local restaurant before driving to Phan Thiet one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam with great sand dunes.
Check-in at hotel on arrival and time is at leisure.

DAY 12 PHAN THIET (B)
Breakfast at hotel.
Depart for an excursion to the Lotus Lake (Mild Water) and on the way back to Phan Thiet; stop at Mui Ne’s sand dunes and at the fishermen village.
The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the beach (if weather permits).

DAY 13 PHAN THIET – HO CHI MINH CITY (B)
After breakfast, the time is at leisure until the departure.
 
13h00, depart by road to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrival early in the evening and check-in at the hotel.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS : Vietnam celebrates many holidays; however it is rare that shops are closed. The exception is Tet, the Vietnamese New Year - officially a three-day holiday but many businesses close down for a full week. This is the busiest time of the year for traveling in Vietnam and hotels, flights and trains are often full. 2012 Dates :  22-25 January.
 
LANGUAGE : The national language of Vietnam is Vietnamese. In big cities and in places with many tourists, people can speak basic English. As Vietnamese has six different tones, it is a difficult language for most foreigners to speak despite the fact that the Roman alphabet is used in the modern Vietnamese script.

Vietnam's weather varies greatly from north to south with each area marked by slightly different seasons and climates. Because of these regional variations, there are always pleasant and favorable areas to visit throughout the year. The north, overall, tends to be cooler than the rest of the country. During the winter from November till February, the day time temperature is cool and the weather often damp. Central Vietnam experiences warm weather from July to October and wet, colder weather from November to May. Although the temperature remains fairly steady throughout the year, Southern Vietnam has two seasons. The dry season lasts from December to May, while from June to November is the rainy season
